Pakistan’s Political History – From Independence to 1958 Martial Law

By Voice of America

Pakistan is celebrating its 75th independence day. The first few years after independence are also considered one of the black chapters of Pakistan’s history because politicians, bureaucrats, and generals played an ugly game of political musical chairs which ultimately ended in the imp[position of martial law. This documentary produced by Voice of America as part of its series “Azadi ke 75 Saal” revisits this chapter of Pakistan’s history.
