American Pakistan Foundation hosted a panel discussion on how feminism is perceived and understood in the South Asian community. The panel featured Ambassador Shirin Tahir-Kheli, an American political scientist; Sumbul Ali-Karamali, a lawyer and scholar of Islamic Law; Dr. Uzma Iqbal, a highly skilled and effective physician leader; Maha Kamal; an attorney practicing family law in Denver, Colorado; Misaal Irfan, a second-year undergraduate at the George Washington University in the Elliott School; and Shamila N. Chaudhary, president of the American Pakistan Foundation.
